Job Description
At EDA Contractors, we recognize that social media plays a vital role in storytelling that engages, informs, and inspires. We are looking for a talented in-house Social Media Coordinator who can take concepts and ideas and create visual representations in digital, web and multimedia materials that are impactful, innovative and of the highest quality.
As EDA’s Social Media Coordinator, you will have a unique opportunity to gain experience and exposure supporting EDA’s rapid growth and culture. You’ll assist with the development of social media strategy, content curation, and digital design for several platforms. Additionally, the Social Media Coordinator will gain hands-on experience in content creation, messaging, targeting, scheduling, paid social, and analytics.
The ideal candidate is a creative self-starter, has a keen eye for detail, and knows how to transform analytics to actionable items. You work independently, as well as collaboratively with the marketing team, to tell the story of EDA’s projects and people. This role reports to the Vice President of Marketing, Communications and Reputation Management.
Job Responsibilities
- Creating and posting content for digital platforms including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, EDA’s website; experience with HootSuite, HubSpot, and/or Monday a plus.
- Monitoring the company’s social media and online presence.
- Writing and publishing website, blog and email newsletter content.
- Publishing videos and photography on company website and blogs.
- Creating and managing the editorial calendar.
- Performing content gap analyses to determine what type of content is missing and what is needed.
- Tracking social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability and optimal social media engagement and growth.
- Developing a solid understanding of target audiences through online and traditional market research.
- Assisting in campaign creation.
- Creating positive engagement with our online social presence to foster community growth and communication. Help monitor comments and shared online user-generated content.
- Organizing network drives.
- Photography and photo editing.
- Supporting marketing team at live and online events.
- Providing design support for creative assets that align with visual brand guidelines.
- Completing other administrative tasks as needed.
- Additional duties as assigned by the Vice President.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working on social media accounts for an organization.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; graphic design a plus.
- Strong storytelling, creative thinker, and project management skills.
- Strong analytical skills, ability to multi-task with solid time management skills.
- Ability to work proactively and effectively within a fast-paced, complex, and dynamic environment.
- High level of self-direction, self-motivation, and energy.
- Meticulous, focusing on high-quality outcomes.
- Ability to work both independently and as a team player.
- Good written and oral communication skills, including proofreading for all written communications in traditional and digital format.

Essential Job Functions
- Must be able to work holidays and weekends on occasion.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to sit and work at a computer for long periods of time.
