Job Summary

This newly created position will play a pivotal role in advancing EDA’s growth. This leader will serve as a key business partner to the Vice President of Shared Services as well as the Chief Operating Officer.  

In this role, you will take responsibility for the continued build-out of our manufacturing plant and production team. You will streamline shift operations to expand capacity. Successful candidates will leverage their experience to foster a culture of continuous improvement, working alongside EDA’s manufacturing engineering team to optimize plant layout and equipment design.
The Director will maintain high quality standards and develop a department that focuses on teamwork, cross functional projects, and integrity while adhering to the company mission and vision.

The Director will lead and oversee our Shared Services operations teams within three locations to include Fabrication shop operations, staging, logistics and fleet services. 

This individual excels in a fast-paced environment, is a leader in preconstruction and fabrication and is influential by nature, possesses a strong ability to build and foster relationships.   This hands-on role includes leading robust qualifications to lead a team and install processes client interaction, strategic project identification, developing highly collaborative business partnerships (internal and external) and ensuring we create high-quality products and services, championing the ONE EDA mindset. 

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and direct the day-to-day activities of the operations function, including procurement, manufacturing, production, quality assurance, shipment, and service
  • Manage P&L and internal finance functions
  • Design and implement business strategies, plans, and procedures
  • Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth
  • Establish policies that promote company culture and vision
  • Monitor invoices, money handling procedures, accounting, and bank processes.
  • Delegate responsibilities to ensure staff members grow as capable participants.
  • Write and submit reports to the CEO on all matters of importance
  • Manage relationships with vendors/suppliers
  • Assess and implement improved processes and new technologies, and collaborate with management to implement these improvements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge and experience with ISO 9000 and 14001
  • Proven experience as Director of Operations or similar role with manufacturing experience
  • Experience and training in operations management techniques such as lean manufacturing or total quality management preferred
  • Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance,etc.
  • Knowledge of general accounting practices and managing a P&L.
  • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
  • Proven track record of managing complex budgets successfully.
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
  • Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
  • Outstanding verbal and written skills, and experience working with staff on all levels
  • Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
  • BS/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; MS/MBA is a plus
