The Healing Power of Nature - Giving Back to Veterans

Over the last few years, EDA’s relationship with the Veterans Multi-Service Center in Philadelphia has continued to grow.

Last year, EDA employees donated their time to build large-scale planter boxes for the veterans who live at the Veteran housing project, entitled Edison 64 Veterans Community. EDA has since partnered with Heroic Gardens, an organization that helps veterans experience the healing power of nature. Heroic Gardens generously supplied us with the materials needed to plant thriving gardens in the planters at Edison 64.

EDA Superintendent Tony Melle has championed this initiative and has continued to work with Heroic Gardens, assisting with various other charity causes for veterans in the local area. Thank you to Tony and all EDA employees that have helped bring these beautiful planters to life!
