#Duckumentary - Veronica Pajak

Today we speak with Payroll/Accounting Assistant, Ronni Pajak.

What did you do before your time at EDA?

Before my time at EDA, I was unemployed, but previously worked at several construction companies.

What brought you to the construction industry?

My first job was in construction, and I liked that I had to communicate with the field employees. I have been working in the industry ever since!

Can you briefly explain what you do at EDA?

I work in Finance as the Payroll/Accounting Assistant. I do the Carpenter’s payroll and union dues and garnishments.

What are some things that most people don't know about you?

Some things people don’t know about me is that I love to dance, and I am a dart shooter.

If you weren’t in the construction industry, where would you be today?

If I was not in the construction industry, I would be working in accounting somewhere because I love working with numbers.

If you could work in any other trade or department here at EDA, where would you be?

If I could work in any other trade or department at EDA, I think I would like to try HR or Marketing.

What is the biggest challenge you've faced in work? How did you overcome it?

When I first started at EDA, I had no confidence in myself when it came to my job. The company that I worked at previously had destroyed that… but working here has given me confidence in my work, and I’m proud to work here.

What has been the best part about your experience working with EDA?

The best part about working here at EDA has been the people I have met, and the friendly feeling that everyone gives me.

What is your favorite EDA value, and why?

My favorite EDA value is Strive to Improve because I want to be good at my job, and I try to do better each day.
