What did you do before your time at EDA?
Right before I joined EDA, I worked for a residential contractor in Center City, Philadelphia.
What brought you to the construction industry?
In 2014 I decided to get out of sales and pursue a career in construction. I always knew that I wanted to buy a home and fix it to my liking. I also loved to build/create things, so the jump was very natural.
What are some things that most people don't know about you?
I’ve lived in 5 different states because I grew up in a military family, I am a Competent Gavelier in Toastmasters International, and I co-own a green energy business in New Jersey.
If you weren’t in the construction industry, where would you be today?
If I wasn’t in construction, I would probably be in sales or the restaurant/hotel industry.
If you could work in any other trade or department here at EDA, where would you be?
I am open and available for any challenge that comes my way. Being new here at EDA, I am not 100% sure, but I am willing to go wherever my talents are most effective.
What is the biggest challenge you've faced in work? How did you overcome it?
Using the tools is the easy part for me. Learning the actual process and understanding it fully was a little challenging. I overcame the challenge by really paying attention to my trainers and the seasoned workers. Understanding the process and making sure it was right before I focused on how far it got done helped reduce a lot of frustration in the beginning.
What has been the best part about your experience working with EDA?
Seriously, the work environment is lit. Everyone is helpful and encouraging, it really makes you want to come into work.
What is your take on EDA’s culture?
EDA’s culture is awesome. We really are successful together!
