#Duckumentary - Andrew Rodriguez

Today we speak with Andrew Rodriguez, Roofer!

What did you do before your time at EDA?

I started at EDA in 2014, then joined the Marine Corps in 2016 to 2020 putting ordnance on helicopters and jets, then made my way back here!

What brought you to the construction industry?

My grandfather was a roofer for the local 30 and the BA for them while I was growing up. It made it easy to see how I wanted to live.

Can you briefly explain what you do at EDA?

I am a Roofer and do waterproofing for EDA.

What are some things that most people don't know about you?

I am a veteran. I have a wife and two sons and am a Carpenter. I also love to play instruments/music.

If you weren’t in the construction industry, where would you be today?

If I weren’t in the construction industry, I would be raising beef cattle on my own farm... but I am here so that’s the plan for retirement!

If you could work in any other trade or department here at EDA, where would you be?

I would love to get more experienced in my trade and grow into a Superintendent or management position to help things run as smoothly as possible.

What is the biggest challenge you've faced in work? How did you overcome it?

Any challenges or stoppages I come across at work always have different avenues of approach to get the job done. Also, everyone at EDA has a positive attitude to get the job done successfully together.

What has been the best part about your experience working with EDA?

I really like the family and community aspect of this company; any questions or concerns are always answered professionally.

What is your favorite EDA value, and why?

Successful Together. Being a veteran, having value in getting the mission done and everyone stepping up to help is an important core value and I like that it’s the same mindset here.
