What did you do before your time at EDA?
Before coming to EDA, I ran an independent design company specializing in small businesses.
What brought you to the construction industry?
One thing I love about design is how many industries I learn about in the process. While I do not have a lot of construction experience, I have worked with many industrial clients in the past and enjoyed learning what makes each one unique.
Can you briefly explain what you do at EDA?
I am the graphic designer for the company and get to create exciting internal and focused external artwork that best showcases who we are and what we do best.
What are some things that most people don't know about you?
I love to be outside. From snowboarding in the winter to kayaking in the summer, if I can be outside, I am happy. I also love reading and am a bit of a comic book nerd.
If you weren’t in the construction industry, where would you be today?
No matter the industry, I would be designing. I love how the simplicity of design can change the world.
If you could work in any other trade or department here at EDA, where would you be?
I would want to be in the field helping to construct some of the coolest exteriors I’ve seen around the city.
What is the biggest challenge you've faced in work? How did you overcome it?
Being an independent designer for a while it took me time to adjust to how things work and flow at EDA. As time goes on, I understand more about how the company functions and why EDA is such a stand-out company in the industry.
What has been the best part about your experience working with EDA?
The teamwork. My team is a strong unit that works hard but also knows how to have fun. We all rely on each other and I’m happy to aid with the goals of my team as well as the company.
What is your favorite EDA value, and why?
Smile, Laugh, Enjoy Life. Being happy is a gift that we sometimes must work to achieve. I believe that the only person who can truly make you happy is yourself and I love celebrating life daily.
