We PACT Together Festival: Fun, Meaningful, Safe

EDA's PACT program hosted its first event for EDA employees. Attendees were able to learn more about PACT, hear firsthand stories of individuals who have struggled with addiction, and speak to representatives from local organizations, all in a fun, safe, and welcoming environment.

The EDA PACT Program’s first event, the We PACT Together Festival, brought together individuals from across the company to learn, have fun, and build awareness for this important program. The collaboration between EDA’s Safety Department and PACT provided resources internal to EDA, as well as representatives from MBK Cares, Recovering Centers of America, Safegard, Journey to Yourself, and more. During the event, employees got to hear real world accounts of how their colleagues and community members have struggled with addiction. Following the formal program, individuals got to speak to representatives, win prizes, grab lunch from food trucks, and even pie a VP.

The EDA PACT Program is just one of the ways that EDA helps support employees who are struggling. PACT encourages safe and competent job performance through the identification of inappropriate use of alcohol or drugs. The program provides individuals with the steps needed for entering treatment and ultimately guarantees a return to work upon completion.

EDA thanks everybody who came out to make our first PACT event a success. We hope that you learned the importance of identifying and treating addiction and understand how the PACT program can give you the support you need to feel comfortable asking for help.
