#Duckumentary - Nicholas Esposito

For his wish from Make-A-Wish, Nicholas wanted to be a construction worker for the day... and EDA helped make that dream a reality! The generosity from our partners and donors helped EDA transform our very own backyard into a customized construction site and digging experience for Nicholas and his family. For the one-year anniversary of this event, we reached out to Nicholas for a very special #Duckumentary interview.

Nicholas, how are you doing? Can we have an update on how things have been?

I'm doing great! I am in Pre-K and I love school. We just moved to a new house, and my brother and I got bunk beds. I lost two teeth and the tooth fairy visited me!

What was your favorite part of “Nicholas’ Construction Day”?

My favorite part of Nicholas' Construction Day was riding on the dump truck and the digger... and when I got to work on the crane and see that big box come off the roof... also eating that big cupcake.

What was the biggest surprise?

Blippi!

How are your tools holding up?

Good. I still use them all the time. My favorite tool is a hammer because I like to nail holes into the wall.

Have you worked on any big projects recently?

Yes! I built the new bunk beds last week and I got to help paint my new room.

What is something new that you learned to do over the last year?

I learned how to swim and play golf last summer and I played on a soccer team for the first time. I also learned how to write a lot of new words this year at school.

What is something you worked hard on this last year?

Writing my name and writing all the letters of the alphabet.

What is your favorite way to spend your free time?

Building Legos, playing golf, reading books, digging in my garden.

Last year, you told us that your favorite things were Spider-Man, Lego, and Curious George. Over this last year, did you find any new favorites?

The Philadelphia Eagles! I got to go to my first game last fall and I like to watch the games with my dad.

What are some things that make you happy?

Playing with my friends and my cousins, eating sushi, when the Eagles win!

What is your favorite part about being a big brother?

I like to help mommy and daddy and get band-aids for Liliana and Luca when they get hurt.

So, you’re already the CEO of EDA Contractors. What do you think your future job will be?

When I grow up, I'm going to be a painter and a builder. I'm going to build my mom a new kitchen in our house!
