Before I joined the construction industry, I was working for a kitchen and bath remodeling company. I liked what I was doing at the time, but I wanted to take it further and do more. My dad is also a Carpenter which had a big influence on my decision.
I mostly look forward to working my first full year as a Journeyman.
I’m a universal blood donor. I love learning about history and ancient civilizations, playing video games, exploring abandoned and historical sites, and going fishing.
My family and loved ones motivate me every day. Sometimes It’s hard to separate work from your personal life and having the love, care, and support from those people push me forward.
My only challenge I would say is currently transitioning from an apprentice to a journeyman. Trying to keep up and maintain everything I’ve learned while also applying it out in the field.
Absolutely. And it’s not just about showing up early or expecting any praise for it but being prepared and ready. Giving yourself time to take on the day. I believe hard work, determination, and respect take you a long way.
Besides becoming a Journeyman this year, I also moved out, bought a new car, and celebrated my 30th birthday.
