What did you do before your time at EDA?
After high school, I worked with my friend’s uncle remodeling residential homes for two years. Following that, I spent ten years working at a small sheet metal company installing custom metal roofing.

What brought you to the construction industry?

My father is a carpenter, and he would bring me to his side jobs remodeling kitchens and bathrooms when I was 8 or 9 years old.

If you weren’t in the construction industry, where would you be today?

If I wasn’t in construction, I would own a custom car and motorcycle shop.

What is the biggest challenge you've faced in work? How did you overcome it?
My biggest challenge has been separating work from my personal life. I have had to learn how to leave work at work, and to not stay up all night thinking about it. I started telling myself “I work to live, not live to work”.

What has been the best part about your experience working with EDA?

The best part about working at EDA is the communication between the whole staff, from top to bottom. Everyone has an opinion and it’s listened to and taken into consideration.

What is your favorite EDA value, and why?

My favorite value is Work Proud. When you take pride in your work, you’re more likely to learn more and produce a better outcome.
