What’s your favorite thing about working on your crew/team?

I like that everyone enjoys what they do and takes pride in their work.

If you won the lottery, what’s the first thing you would do with your winnings?

Buy my mother the dream mansion on the beach that she always wanted.

How do you stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and safety protocols?

Most of the time this information comes from word of mouth on the jobsite. I also always try to ask questions on things that peak my interest.

Outside of work, what are some of your hobbies or interests?

In the winter I enjoy snowboarding and in the summer anything to do with the
beach. Whether it's playing beach volleyball or just spending hours sitting in the sand with an ice cold beverage, it doesn't matter if I'm at the beach.

Work-related: What’s one thing you personally must have with you on a jobsite?

I always carry a tape measure on me.

Cats or dogs? And why?

That’s easy: DOGS. I adopted my dog in 2017 and it was the best thing I ever did!

What’s the best piece of advice you received?

On the jobsite the best advice I received was keep your mouth shut and keep
working.

Is there anything else about you, your family, or your home life that you would like to share?

I have a huge family and we all own summer houses in Pennsylvania and South
Carolina. Wherever one of us goes, we all go haha.

Can you share one new thing you’ve learned on the job or a best practice that helps save you time, energy, or keeps you safer on the job?

Since working with EDA I’ve started using Pre-Task Planning (PTPs) for specific tasks. This helps figure out what tools and material are needed for the job as well as on site based on the working conditions. Being able to know all of this before we start a task helps the job run smoothly. (Hopefully I get a point on the scoreboard for this one Vinny)

How do you manage stress and maintain a positive mindset in a high-pressure environment like construction?

Gotta separate the big rocks and the small rocks.
